Who we are
SideScholar is an independent education-focused resource publication focused on helping students across the world find valuable insights and resources to navigate the ever-changing landscape of education and career.
Helping people find their next real step.
SideScholar is an independent education-focused resource publication helping students, graduates, and professionals find useful information, opportunities, and guidance across education and career.
What we do
We put together insights and reviews, listing opportunities, schools, and job offers with honest editorial reviews; all in one place, organised by country, field of study, and degree level.
Alongside that, we curate guides and research content to help students, teachers, and professionals navigate the education and career landscape.
02 · Our core pillars
Content, community and guidance.
Content
We're dedicated to curating high-quality content. Our contributors are mostly experts in their fields, ensuring informative, thought-provoking articles, guides, and research.
Community
We foster collaboration and support among our readers, hosting sessions and webinars where educators and learners can share experiences and learn from one another.
Guidance
Whether you're choosing a career path, exploring your options, or seeking your next opportunity, SideScholar provides the tools and knowledge to help you thrive.
Clear information should be easier to find.
Too many students lose real opportunities to outdated PDFs, expired deadlines, and listings with no way to verify if they're even real. We built SideScholar to fix that — clear information, verified where possible, and organised in a way that respects your time.
Whether you're a student looking for guidance in choosing a career path or a professional seeking a brighter path, SideScholar is designed to offer the insights and resources that can help you move forward.
04 · What we believe
Three principles behind the platform.
Accuracy over volume.
A shorter list of real, current opportunities and good insights is more useful than a long list of stale ones.
Honesty in reviews.
Our editorial reviews cover real strengths and real weaknesses, not just marketing copy.
Free access.
Finding an open opportunity or offer on SideScholar costs nothing.
05 · Where we're headed
Growing the platform thoughtfully.
We're expanding across the globe, with more experts and educators joining the team — adding more verified institutions, more opportunities, and more honest reviews and insights as we go.
