If you’re curious about how businesses make money, manage people, compete for customers and somehow keep everything moving at the same time, BSc Business Administration gives you a good look behind the curtain.
You’ll usually study a mix of management, accounting, finance, marketing, economics, human resources, operations and entrepreneurship. The idea is to help you understand how the different parts of a business connect instead of learning one area in isolation.
You’ll also spend plenty of time working with case studies, presentations, group projects and business problems that don’t always come with one perfect answer. Welcome to management.
As you move through the programme, you’ll learn how to read financial information, understand markets, manage projects, work with teams and make better business decisions. You may also get the chance to specialise in an area such as finance, marketing, accounting, human resource management or entrepreneurship, depending on the institution.
Most full-time BSc Business Administration programmes take about 3 to 4 years to complete. The exact duration depends on the university, country and how you enter the programme.
If you’re coming straight from secondary school, you’ll normally follow the full undergraduate route. If you already have a diploma, transfer credits or another recognised qualification, you may be able to enter at a later level and finish sooner.
