About Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School
Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School began as an idea within the Emmanuel Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. The plan took shape in 1992, and the school opened the following year under acting headmaster Mr. Asante Boahen.
The school combines public secondary education with a Presbyterian identity built around Christian formation, discipline and personal development. Its motto, "Development Through Determination," gives students a straightforward message about what progress requires.
Berekum PRESEC has Agricultural Science, Business, General Arts, General Science, Home Economics and Visual Arts, and the programme pages can help you compare the subject combinations.

History
The idea for Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School was developed by the Emmanuel Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in 1992.
The school history records that Rev. E. A. Asiedu, then District Minister, led the work that resulted in the school opening in 1993.
The school developed as a co-educational public school with a clear Christian foundation and an emphasis on intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical development.
Berekum PRESEC did not begin as an old mission school inherited from the colonial period. It was a comparatively recent local Presbyterian project built to meet a growing modern demand for secondary education.
