About Dormaa Senior High
Dormaa Senior High traces its beginning to 24 February 1947, when teachers Samuel Kwadwo Oppong and Joseph Manase Yeboah established Dormaa State College in Dormaa-Ahenkro. The first registered student arrived at a time when secondary-school options in the wider area were extremely limited.
The school that grew from that small beginning is now widely known as DORMASS. Its motto, "Knowledge is Power," gives the school a simple idea to live up to: education should increase what you are capable of understanding and doing.
Students at DORMASS can choose Agricultural Science, Business, General Arts, General Science, Home Economics and Visual Arts, with the programme pages showing what each choice covers.

History
DORMASS was established on 24 February 1947 by Samuel Kwadwo Oppong and Joseph Manase Yeboah, both teachers.
A school profile traces the school to Dormaa State College. It opened when students in the wider Brong Ahafo area had few options after middle school.
The school began on a modest site and developed into a major mixed day-and-boarding school in Dormaa-Ahenkro.
The striking part of the story is the scale of the change: a school that began with almost no student population became one of the established public schools serving the Bono area.
Academics
Programme choices at Dormaa Senior High include Agricultural Science, Business, General Arts, General Science, Home Economics and Visual Arts.
The range is broad, but the programmes are not interchangeable. Your electives, practical requirements and future admission options can be very different depending on the route you choose.
The Business guide shows what students study in that option at DORMASS.
Admissions & Entry Guidance
You can choose Dormaa Senior High through the national placement system after BECE. Before adding DORMASS to your list, compare the subjects in Agricultural Science, Business, General Arts, General Science, Home Economics and Visual Arts.
Use the CSSPS website to see your DORMASS result and whether the place is for a day student or a boarder.
Facilities
Public profiles of DORMASS list science laboratories, a library, ICT facilities, sports space, boarding houses and a dining hall.
The school continues to maintain and improve those facilities. A Ghana News Agency report documented renovation work on the kitchen and repairs to school buses while noting that accommodation itself was not the immediate capacity problem at the time.
Student Life
DORMASS has an active old-student network through DOSA, and alumni groups continue to support teaching, mentoring and infrastructure.
Students also take part in community activities. In one environmental exercise, female students worked with local organisations to plant trees around the Dormaa Circuit Court.
Accommodation
The student body at Dormaa Senior High includes day students and boarders. For DORMASS boarders, campus life continues after lessons.
