Jachie Pramso Senior High, widely known as JAPASS, was established in 1970 on the road between Jachie and Pramso in the Bosomtwe area. What began as a comparatively small school has developed into a large mixed day-and-boarding school.
The school's mission places discipline beside knowledge, with the aim of preparing students to take responsible positions in society rather than treating examination results as the whole purpose of education.

History
Jachie Pramso Senior High was established in 1970 and sits on the stretch between Jachie and Pramso, about 22 kilometres from Kumasi.
The Ghana Education Service annual digest records the establishment year and the school's mission of combining discipline with the knowledge students need to function effectively.
JAPASS has expanded considerably since its early years, developing a large classroom and boarding population.
As more families around Bosomtwe sought secondary education, JAPASS had to grow. It became a much larger school while keeping its focus on discipline.
