OLAMS keeps a Catholic identity even within the public system. That means academic expectations sit beside values such as discipline, service, character and respect for other people.

OLAMS has Business, General Arts, General Science, Home Economics and Visual Arts, and the programme pages can help you compare the subject combinations.

History

OLAMS was established in 1999 by the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Tema.

A Ghana News Agency report on the school's 25th-anniversary celebration describes OLAMS as the youngest Catholic senior high school in Ghana.

The school began privately before entering the public education system, while retaining its Catholic identity and emphasis on character formation.

OLAMS is a useful example of how a relatively young school can grow quickly when a local faith community identifies an educational need and keeps building around it.
