About Our Lady of Providence Senior High
Our Lady of Providence Senior High at Kwasi Buokrom was established in 1989 through the initiative of the late Bishop James Kwadwo Owusu with the support of the Sisters of Divine Providence. The school was created specifically around the education of girls, and that purpose still gives it a distinctive identity.
Its motto, "An Educated Woman, the Seed of a New Generation," makes the founding idea unusually clear. The school sees a girl's education as something that can influence her own future and the wider family and community around her.
OLP Girls gives students a choice of Business, General Arts, General Science and Home Economics; the programme pages set out the subjects in each one.

History
Our Lady of Providence Senior High was established in 1989 through the initiative of Bishop James Kwadwo Owusu and the religious community of the Sisters of Divine Providence.
A school profile explains that the founders linked girls' education to family health, children's education and women's contribution to society.
That thinking is captured in the motto, "An Educated Woman, the Seed of a New Generation."
The school was not created simply to add another SHS to the area. It was built around the belief that educating girls changes more than one person's prospects.
Academics
Business, General Arts, General Science and Home Economics make up the programme list at Our Lady of Providence Senior High.
Agricultural Science, Visual Arts and STEM are not currently offered at OLP Girls. That matters if one of those programmes are central to your plans.
The subjects within General Science are set out in the General Science guide; check them before choosing OLP Girls.
Admissions & Entry Guidance
Entry to Our Lady of Providence Senior High starts with the choices you make after BECE. Look at the subjects in Business, General Arts, General Science and Home Economics, not only the OLP Girls name.
Past OLP Girls cut-offs may be useful for comparison, but do not rely on them as a fixed admission mark.
Check the CSSPS website for your OLP Girls result. If you are placed at OLP Girls, the result will say whether you are a day student or a boarder.
Facilities
Public school profiles list science-laboratory and library facilities at OLP Girls, alongside the classrooms, boarding and dining spaces expected of a residential senior high school.
The practical value of those facilities depends on your programme. General Science students need reliable laboratory access, while Home Economics students need spaces that allow practical work rather than theory alone.
Student Life
OLP Girls gives students a school environment where every student leadership role, team and girls' mentoring relationship is centred on young women.
The school has also taken part in public ceremonial and community activities beyond its own campus, giving students opportunities to represent the school in wider civic settings.
The girls-only environment can be valuable because students repeatedly see other girls speaking publicly, leading groups, competing and taking responsibility.
Accommodation
Our Lady of Providence Senior High has both day and boarding students. Boarders at OLP Girls stay on campus for meals and evening study, while day students go home after school activities.
Boarding adds greater independence and closer day-to-day relationships with other students, but it also means shared routines, sanitation and personal responsibility become part of ordinary school life.
When your OLP Girls placement arrives, look for the part that says day or boarding.
