History
St. Rose's was founded in 1965 by Dominican Sisters from Speyer, Germany. The school began during a period when communities, churches and government were expanding access to secondary education across Ghana.
The ROSA UK & EU account of the school records the Dominican foundation and preserves the school anthem, which repeatedly links education with service, loyalty and truth.
St. Rose of Lima is the school's patron saint, and the Catholic tradition remains visible in worship, discipline and the language the school uses about character.
The word Veritas is deliberately short. It gives the school a simple standard: truth should shape both learning and conduct.

Facilities
A day-and-boarding school needs more than classrooms. Dining, bathing, residential and practical-learning spaces all affect what daily life feels like for students.
Old students have helped improve some of those facilities. A MyJoyOnline report on ROSA projects describes funding for a new dining hall and the renovation of a bathhouse.
Student Life
Students at St. Rose's are commonly called Rosecans. After graduation, they become part of ROSA, an old-student network with chapters in Ghana and abroad.
The school's blue-and-white colours, Catholic worship, house life and year-group traditions help create a strong shared identity. Different graduating groups also maintain their own names and connections as they move into the alumni community.
Clubs, sport, religious activities and student leadership give girls ways to take responsibility beyond their academic programme.
