History

Queen of Peace Senior High was established on 29 January 1999 in Nadowli.

A Ghana News Agency account of the school's silver-jubilee launch credits the Catholic Church, district authorities and traditional leaders with the collaboration that brought the school into being.

The school opened with 76 students, 31 girls and 45 boys, and initially ran General Arts and Business.

The founding story is worth remembering because Queen of Peace was built to solve a local access problem. Nadowli needed a stronger secondary-school option, and several parts of the community came together to create one.
